IRT Swapping

Investment Representation Token Swapping, also known as IRT Swapping, allows investors to seamlessly shift their exposure between different Exxa Funds by swapping tokenized receipts.

For example, an investor holding a receipt for the Exxa’s Crypto Fund can easily exchange it for a receipt from the Category Fund without liquidating assets or manually rebalancing.

This gives investors the flexibility to adjust their portfolios in response to market changes, sector performance, or personal strategy, all while maintaining their exposure to the underlying assets of the fund.

Through smart contracts, IRT Swapping enables a frictionless, efficient way to diversify investments within the crypto ecosystem.

Swapping Scenario:

  1. Investor A invests in the Exxa’s Crypto Fund, receiving Crypto Fund IRTs.

  2. After a few months, Investor A sees that the Category Fund has performed better and wants to shift exposure.

  3. Investor A swaps their Crypto Fund IRTs to Category Fund IRTs on the Exxa Protocol’s Marketplace feature.

  4. The smart contract adjusts Investor A’s holdings to reflect the new fund's composition, without needing to liquidate any assets.
